By creating an open, inspiring environment where interdisciplinary academic pursuit and cutting-edge research take place within a framework of humanistic values, it seeks to emerge in coming decades as an institution of choice for both faculty and students.
The vision of Plaksha is reflected across three pillars:
Reimagined Engineering Education : Plaksha will embrace an interdisciplinary engineering education that blends technical rigor in disciplines with the ability to connect the dots within scientific and engineering fields. With exposure to the liberal arts and design, it will nurture problem solvers who understand people and context. The pedagogy will emphasize a hands-on approach, while interweaving online tools as needed to aid learning. Finally, students will be supported in holistic self-development to help them emerge as leaders who apply their knowledge and skills to create impact.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship : Plaksha will have a research mission that leverages deep industry partnerships and translates research into real-world impact. Students will also be actively encouraged towards entrepreneurship with mentorship from the vast network of successful entrepreneurs in the University founding team.
