The Center for Precision Technologies for Food and Environmental Security is an interdisciplinary research center established within Reimagining Higher Education Foundation (RHEF), a Section 8 not-for-profit company and the sponsoring body of Plaksha University. The Center develops scientific knowledge and precision technologies that can help strengthen the resilience, sustainability and security of food and environmental systems.
Our work brings together sensing, computation, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, biotechnology and environmental science. We pursue research from foundational questions through prototypes and field validation, with an emphasis on affordable, responsible and scalable solutions.
Intelligent sensing and IoT — instruments and connected systems for real-time measurement and decision support.
AI, machine learning and data science — predictive models, multimodal analytics and foundation models for complex natural and managed systems.
Robotics and autonomy — field-capable robotic platforms, automation and intelligent control.
Remote sensing and computer vision — satellite, drone and multispectral approaches for observation, mapping and forecasting.
Environmental and biological systems — soil carbon, resource efficiency, biotechnology and environmental monitoring.
Translation and validation — prototypes, research datasets, living laboratories, field demonstrations and technology-transfer pathways.
The Center forms interdisciplinary teams of researchers, engineers, doctoral scholars and collaborators. Our programs combine rigorous scientific inquiry with technology design, experimentation and validation. We share knowledge through publications, datasets, educational activities, partnerships and responsible commercialization.
The Center's team will include research faculty and scientists, visiting researchers, doctoral scholars, postdoctoral researchers, engineers, project personnel and program-management staff. Individual profiles will be added following formal appointments.
The Center welcomes research collaborations with universities, research institutions, industry, foundations and public organizations working on scientific and technological challenges related to food and environmental security.
